Designer Eye Candy

It isn’t easy for designers to find the right raw materials for their products but thanks to these trade shows they at least have a start: Texworld USA, Première Vision New York and Functional Fabric Fair.

Texworld U.S.A. Apparel Sourcing and Home Sourcing expo summer 2018 NY edition at the Javits Center is a premiere sourcing invent for creatives to network with top tier suppliers and attend free educational seminars. The show has gotten better over the years especially with this season’s color trend information which is on par with paid services—organizers this is not a suggestion to charge! This is an increasingly valuable resource for sourcing options. The introduction of the Low Minimum area for raw materials a few seasons ago is a great help for start-ups, independent designers and small companies. Would love to see this expand to Apparel Sourcing and Home areas in the show (maybe in the works already).

Première Vision New York Autumn19/Winter 20 highlights raw material resources and apparel manufacturing from around the world with over 40 new companies participating this session. It is an excellent opportunity for professionals in the fashion industry to find insight on the latest trends and manufacturing solutions. In addition they feature top tier international print studios that offer the very best in one of a kind print and embroidery designs.

Functional Fabric Fair has its NYC debut this week at the Javits Center. The fair showcases the latest trends in fabric development for the functional textile industry and offers a sourcing marketplace for high performance functional fabrics and accessories. With more than 70 exhibitors, networking programs and complimentary educational workshops they are off to a great start.
