As with other yearly shows in multiple categories, the last 2 years has been difficult not being able to operate the same way as in the past. But those trying times have mostly disappeared and everyone’s ready to eat, drink and be very merry especially in Miami. Miami Art Week was back this year in full swing with many of the regular large shows and many more in an intimate setting all filled with art lovers and fabulous artists.

Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami (the Redwood Art Group), two of the longest running shows during Miami Art Week came back to the Wynwood Convention Center this year. They showcases independent career artists, studios, and younger galleries that are pushing the boundaries in the art field.
Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami were held on the beautiful Miami waterfront to packed crowds. Art Miami is recognized globally as one of the preeminent international modern and contemporary art fairs featuring investment quality works from more than 135 international galleries from 17 countries. The sister fair CONTEXT Art Miami, dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists, is back for its ninth edition with more than 61 galleries from 17 countries.
During a private event at Mira Lehr‘s historic residence in Miami Beach in honor of her new art book, guests were feted to a curated selection of artwork by the artist. The book – Mira Lehr: Arc of Nature the Complete Monograph, will be published by Skira Editore in early 2022 is about the artist’s six decade career.
