Beyond the innovative and functional qualities of many of the products in the ICFF x WantedDesign Manhattan show, they also had an artistic element that added to their beauty. These pieces could almost exist as solely pieces of art beyond their intended purposes. But isn’t that what great design should be? Bringing beauty and functionality seamlessly into everyday living.

The Inside Norway Booth at the show highlighted eight Norwegian brands that are leaders in manufacturing and interior design. At the core of these brands is a respect of Norwegian design heritage along with the aesthetics of the 1950s and ’60s which are translated into contemporary styles. Furniture brand Eikund brings modern ideas to market by going back to the past reintroducing classic Norwegian pieces that incorporate current manufacturing technologies. This includes using sustainably sourced wood with certified leather, textiles and other materials to create their beautiful pieces. Porcelain producer and green manufacturer Figgjo represents 80 years of tabletop art with contemporary designs that can be mixed and matched within their various collections. These products can be seen in some of the very best restaurants worldwide, designed to complement culinary creations in any setting. Dyfosit developed innovative support frames for furniture makers that gives the customer remarkable comfort and support. This is done with a smooth reclining movement that tilts to properly support the body while maximizing comfort levels in a more natural position.
