Things are not always what they seem. This 1825 liquor storefront was repurposed as a J. Crew Men’s Store. The building is a historical landmark which is why there is no J. Crew signage outside. There is nothing like a beautifully designed and well made package to draw you to a product. And a successful one properly complements what’s inside without over shadowing it. At the Luxe Pack show at Pier 92 in New York this month there were a lot of fabulous and inventive packaging. Here are a few:
The Green Building – Brooklyn, NY. This space was built in 1889 as a brass foundry and restored to a mixed use venue space. It still has the original exposed brick walls against a wood beam ceiling. The glass doors open to an outdoor courtyard.
