MAGIC in Miami: Latest Fashion Trends Heat Up The City

It is MAGIC in Miami, in more ways than one this January. Fashion trends in womenswear (apparel and accessories) are brought together at the Miami Beach Convention Center by Informa Markets Fashion. It was magical to see so many contemporary brands represented – international, across the USA and locally, showcase their products under one roof. This is the first and surely a continuing stop in Miami of the yearly fashion trends cycle expanding beyond established cities of New York and Las Vegas. The show featured young contemporary collections, modern sportswear, footwear, accessories, home, gift and beauty brands for retailers to explore. There was a boost given to regional companies that doesn’t always get the exposure they need to compete in the market. “Highlighting local brands and retailers that are contributing to Miami’s booming ecosystem is so important to us,” says Jordan Rudow, Vice President pf MAGIC. “The southeast is a key region for both retail and fashion brands looking to expand into regional markets.”

The Magic of Color

A large variety of color choices were a big hit for buyers and in the long run with consumers, as brands went deep down the color rabbit hole. Even when brands limited their color options they provided key bold colors to enliven products as a must buy.

Texture Rules The Day

One of the biggest fashion trends of the show was texture. It was seen in everything from apparel, footwear to accessories. A great way to update without always having to add color or pattern.
