It’s art season in New York – so many great shows and exhibitions on view for art lovers and collectors alike from various genres. The creativity among the various artists seem limitless with new interpretations and new ideas in works ever more pleasing to the eye in each exhibition. Shows at times can be a bit repetitive, seeing the same artists and also the same artworks over and over again.
So, it was a delight during the VOLTA Art Fair in New York last week to see a variety of galleries and artists that I have not previously seen. There was the familiar who are always great but it’s always wonderful to ‘discover’ new ones. VOLTA brings together dynamic younger and middle-market galleries presenting them to the world’s major cities with the ethos to Discover, Connect and Collect. The New York show brought together 49 national and international galleries over 5 days for attendees to discover fantastic talent, connect with artists and gallery representatives and collect beautiful fine art.
