If you haven’t yet you should checkout HBO’s limited series The Young Pope. Not only did creator/director Paolo Sorrentino along with executive producer Lorenzo Mieli create a unique and masterful television drama, the cinematography and the costumes are equally masterful. This is not a religious drama but a political one (albeit in the Vatican) which is appropriate in the climate we are seeing throughout the world. Jude Law is in his element as a young American born pope and you do not doubt for a second that he is the pope. Great writing, great acting, great visuals and an amazing soundtrack leaves you wanting for more after every episode.
