Don’t always appreciate the many hidden gems a fairly short ride from home and work. This one is Prospect Park South Historic District in Brooklyn, New York. The construction of Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and the expansion of the transit system between Brooklyn and Manhattan spurred growth and home building in the area. This was during the early 19th and late 20th centuries where the new building designs in Prospect Park South were both electic and stylistic for the time.
