Tartan Heritage

The New York City Tartan Day Parade was held yesterday celebrating Scottish heritage and culture. Organized by the National Tartan Day New York Committee, the parade is in its 24th year and is the highlight of Scottish-themed festivities designated as NYC Tartan Week. Participants in the parade were bagpipers, Highland dancers, clan organizations, Scottish dog breeds and other groups.
