The Neue Galerie in NY currently has an exhibition featuring Austrian artist Gustav Klimt and in their permanent collection designers Adolf Loos and Josef Hoffmann. Even though the post features Austrian artists only the museum mostly showcases both Austrian and German artists.

Adolf Loos and Josef Hoffmann’s furniture designs from the 1900’s – still chic and modern by today’s standards. Although both men were architects, they had prolific careers designing decorative pieces. Hoffmann produced not only handcrafted pieces but also mass produced designs that remain in continuous use.
