Re | Turning exhibition showcases the exquisite works of Philip and Matt Moulthrop’s at Heller Gallery, NY. These turned wood pieces represent three generations of craftsmanship and creativity from the highly acclaimed Moulthrop family. They use salvaged trees from the Southeast of the United States, turning the wood’s age and flaws into remarkable designs. Their work instantly reminded me of maestro‘s Lino Tagliapietra’s work in glass—I later found out that Tagliapietra is a collector of Moulthrop pieces.
