Danish art Ole Aakjær‘s sole exhibition at Chase Contemporary New York and also part of the Art New York Show featured multilayered watercolor and ink paintings. Aakjær’s works are painted in a signature figurative style of highly structured compositions layered with symbolism. His inspiration comes from music, literature, film and photography imbued with abundant color and rich hues. Using watercolor as his primary medium leaves imperfections in each piece adding to its uniqueness and humanity.
