Greek Parade NYC

The 86th Greek Independence Day Parade in New York happened last weekend with many taking in the sights along Fifth Avenue. A sea of blue and white flags were plentiful along the route, honoring the many renowned guests taking part in the event. Along with the onlookers there were approximately 120 groups with 52 floats and 15 bands in the parade. This year marked 204 years since March 25, 1821, the start of the Greek Revolution liberating Greece from the Ottoman Turks.
