Self-taught New England born sculptor Matt Devine works in steel, stainless steel, aluminum and bronze. He moved to California in 1995, where he learned to weld and fabricate metal while working alongside his father before moving to a farm with his family in Oregon. The organic and pared-down shapes of his sculptures make them appear light as paper, seemingly weightless and gravity-defying.
